Same here, I dont have an alignment that I know of, so I believe I am neutral. I don't think that's how it works. From the day 1 narration: Your alignment is determined from your actions. I also think that it's changeable until you're either great or evil. So, if you're bad now you can do good stuff to become good and if you're good, you can do bad stuff to become bad. You may be able to become great or evil through good and bad actions. I don't know how that works. Right now, I don't know what I am, but I have been trying to take actions that I would consider good and avoid bad actions.

I thought it was changeable via the conversion mechanics, not by one's own actions.

Same here. So far we've been cutting off wangs left and right, isn't that evil?

It's both, I think. Maybe you can only convert to great or evil but can change yourself from bad to good and vice versa.
As to the cutting off of wangs being evil. I don't know, maybe it depends on if we're cutting of the wangs of good people or cutting off the wangs of evil people.

Same here. So far we've been cutting off wangs left and right, isn't that evil? No, that's not unusual at all.

Which actions affect your alignment, though? Red, yellow, and green votes? Posts in the thread?

Yes, I am the Great Pyshic Other.
This gives me a new set of win conditions that trump my Other win conditions. Basically, I have to eliminate or convert all evil people.
However, as long as none of the Others are evil, I can still win if the Others win (I think). So, here's the deal:
No matter what happens, I won't reveal any of your names to the Great network, which I'm sure I'll soon be joining. The only exception to this rule is if I somehow find out one of you is evil.
Since the Others don't care about evil or non-evil, especially this early in the game, I would ask that you at least take some of my suggestions into consideration. For the next few days, at least, we can align our goals.

"I am a Great person. I have been watching. You have claimed that you are a Good person." B:L was shocked, as this was true. Earlier, B:L had claimed this very thing. "That was very self-serving of you. Most do not know whether they are a Good or a Bad person. Good people are modest; they are told they are Good people by others."
"Others?" B:L questioned. "You mean, the 'Other' people on the island?"
"No, I mean your peers. Good people and Bad people are defined by their actions. Good people are not selfish, but Bad People are not self-sacrificing. Good things and Bad things can happen to Good and Bad people, but only when the conditions are right. Good things do not necessarily come to those who wait, unless they are given enough due."
That's all I have to go on.

Man, evilbob being bounced back and forth is kinda handy. Keeps us from being bounced around most of the time.

Certainly, although it looks like Xevo is already doing that for everybody.
Raneados got seered last night, so all the dead people (and probably the Great network) know that he's an Other. Intriguingly, it said he's a "Good Female Other", so yay for that I guess. The first night we killed Cantide. Xevo's list of dead people in the Fronties thread is correct.

Do they also know that everyone he attacked Osvik with is an Other too, by association, or have you thankfully withheld said information?

Also, the Kangaroos are their own faction. They want everybody off the island, but when they die they learn that they can ally themselves with either the Great or Evil cause.
At the moment, it sounds like the Greats are much more powerful than the Evils. We'll see, though.

VH, when you get into the Great network, is there any chance you could give us a little more insight into how the conversions work?
